Match Details: Tickets left for The Dons v Rovers

Cheer on Wimbledon in pursuit of a first victory this season

20 September 2019

AFC Wimbledon came so close to earning maximum points in our last home game against Shrewsbury – and your support can help Wally’s boys to get that elusive first victory of the season.

The Dons host Bristol Rovers on Saturday aiming to go one better than last season when the two sides shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw (the picture above shows Joe Pigott celebrating his goal in that match).

Tickets are available to watch our final home game this month and below is a summary of match arrangements ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Tickets

We have a limited number of tickets available for the Chemflow terrace. Book in advance now from our online ticket shop (link) to guarantee your place in our popular home terrace. We also have availability for the RyGas Stand (just £17 for an adult standing ticket). You can buy in advance from our online ticket shop until 11.00 am on Saturday or pay on the day. Tickets bought in advance can be collected pre-match from the white booth in Jack Goodchild Way.

Returns

Due to returns, we will have seat tickets available. Please e-mail info@afcwimbledon.co.uk before 12 noon on Saturday or contact the club on 020 8547 3528 (between 10 am and 12 noon). If you cannot attend, please let us know via the same e-mail, as it will mean we can make your seat ticket available for another supporter.

Bars

Supporters are welcome to get here early to enjoy a drink in the bars. The bars will be open at 12 noon and we will be pleased to welcome Bristol Rovers supporters in for a drink before the match. A wide selection of drinks will be available, including lagers, ales, and soft drinks. Supporters can get here early to watch the live Premier League game between Leicester City and Spurs (12.30 pm kick-off) on TV screens. Newcastle versus Brighton (5.30 pm kick-off) will be shown on TV after the Wimbledon game.

Ale lovers will be in for a treat with Plough Lane Ale, Copper Leaf Ale, and SW19 all served in the Your Golf Travel Bar. Plough Lane Ale, SW19, and Gallows Gold (Park Brewery) will be served in the back bar.

Pop up bars (outside the main bar) will serve the following: Wimbledon Gold Lager, Wimbledon Pale Ale, Budweiser, Stella.

Moving back home

This is your two-week warning! Our crowdfunding campaign is nearing the finishing line – so, if you haven’t yet joined the thousands of fans who’ve already invested in our future, then don’t delay any longer.

Our crowdfunding partners, Seedrs, and members of The Dons Trust, will be here from 1pm on Saturday in the Your Golf Travel Bar to answer any last-minute questions you might have – and to help you enrol.

Don’t forget to bring along your national insurance number plus a picture ID. That way we can sign you up on the spot and help you to Lead Us Home…

Foodbank

We will be collecting for a vital cause at our home game tomorrow with donations wanted for the Wimbledon Foodbank.

For several seasons, the Dons Trust and our Foundation have organised collections to support those less fortunate in the community.

Before the match versus Bristol Rovers, we will again be holding a collection for Wimbledon Foodbank. If you are able to donate any items, you can drop them off at the Dons Trust kiosk in Jack Goodchild Way before the game (between 12.30 pm and 2.30pm).

The foodbank is particularly in need of the following items: tinned rice pudding, tinned fish, tinned curry and stew, sugar, squash, shower gel, and toothpaste.

Programme

New Dons defender Ryan Delaney, who joined us recently on loan from Rochdale, is the subject of our main player interview. Ryan discusses his long path to Wimbledon, which started at his local club New Ross Celtic, back in County Wexford. We also feature an extensive interview with our first-team coach Vaughan Ryan, who talks about his days as a Crazy Gang member and his coaching education.  Of course, the programme includes all the usual features about your club.

Golden Goals

Our valuable club fundraiser resumes on Saturday and look out for Golden Goals sellers around the ground for your chance to win £100.

Peterborough tickets

Wimbledon’s next away match is at Peterborough United next Saturday. Supporters can buy tickets before Saturday’s game from the complimentary tickets window and for a short time afterwards.

DT Kiosk

Dons Trust members and fans interested in the work of the DT are welcome to pop in and find out more about the work of the Trust. Jane Lonsdale and Luke McKenzie will be at the DT Kiosk on Saturday.
