Experienced midfielder Anthony Wordsworth is closing in on a return to match action after joining in full training with the squad today.
Due to an Achilles tendon injury and a shoulder problem, Anthony has yet to feature for Wimbledon this season after playing a vital part in last season's Great Escape.
However, the midfielder was back out there today and looked sharp, according to our manager.
"He has made a comeback 'Woody' today," said Wally. "He was out there, the first time he has been full-blast with us this season, and his quality shows through in the training sessions. He was chirpy enough, and he came through, so it was a very good session for him."
Keep an eye out on the official website a bit later for video footage of Anthony back in training, plus a first glimpse of new signings Marcus Forss, Max Sanders, and Ryan Delaney joining in with the boys at AFC Wimbledon for the first time.
