Captain Will Nightingale made no excuses after the last-gasp loss at St Andrew's last night and he said that the team must be stronger mentally.
The Dons came so close to earning a creditable point against a Coventry side occupying top spot in League One, but our captain offered a frank assessment of the performance in his post-match interview.
"We are massively disappointed, gutted really," said Will. "I can't even begin to say how sorry I am to all the fans. We were all devastated in there, sat there with our heads down. We've got to pick ourselves up though. We've got to improve. We've got to be stronger mentally. Some may say we deserved more, but we didn't come away with anything. We set up well and had good chances to make it 2-0. It may have been a different story, but I'm not going to stand here and make excuses. I can only say that I'm going to do everything I can to get better and I'm sure all the boys are thinking the same."
