"Army of AFC Wimbledon fans deliver food to those in need during coronavirus crisis"

Fantastic community effort earns headlines in the press

The unstoppable force of the Dons Local Action Group continues to make a big difference in the local community this week.

Adverse weather this week certainly hasn't stopped volunteers in their tracks as they continue to help vulnerable people in society during this difficult time. The picture above shows volunteers outside Aldi in Kingston and the Dons Local Action Group is also operating in Merton, Wandsworth, and Putney.

People of all ages have been helping with over 400 volunteers now involved. They include Cordelia, 14, and Cameron, 12, who were shown on ITV London delivering food parcels to doorsteps in the community. In case you missed the press article, visit the ITV website

You can get involved in the Dons Local Action Group by contacting 020 3301 4511 (9am-6pm), or you can e-mail dla@afcwimbledonfoundation.org.uk . An interview with Cormac van der Hoeven highlights why it's worth getting involved and you can read this on our website
