Cricket star praises 'superb job' by Dons fans

Ollie Pope sends out message requesting more help

6 April 2020

England and Surrey cricketer Ollie Pope has today helped to spread the message about the fantastic work that our Dons Local Action Group are doing in the community.

Ollie posted a video message on Twitter , praising the work of Wimbledon fans and calling for more support to a community project that has really gathered momentum.

Ollie said: "I just wanted to say what a superb job that the Dons Local Action are doing to help those in need in Merton and Kingston boroughs. If you can help them at all, or know anyone that needs their support, please get in touch."

As we reported on Friday, the Dons Local Action Group are now aiming to help out the community in Kingston too after making a big difference in Merton. The group continues to help stranded individuals and families to tackle the coronavirus crisis.

If you'd like to join our community champions then please e-mail: DLA@afcwimbledonfoundation.org.uk or call 020 3301 4511.
If you'd like to help out from further afield, a JustGiving page for the Dons Local Action Group has been set-up.
