Double century and promotion earned a place for our 'Mr Versatile'

George Francomb made your team of the decade

4 April 2020

After initially being drafted in by Terry Brown on transfer deadline day in 2012, George Francomb went on to play a key part in AFC Wimbledon's rise up to League One.

In two spells at the club, George made over 200 Wimbledon appearances with his versatility making him a vital squad member and earning him a place in your team of the decade. After filling every outfield position on the pitch, George joked that he would have made the best goalkeeper too!

Take a look below at a video we've put together on some of George's key moments with us. Here's a reminder of your #teamofthedecade. The picture above shows George celebrating a winning goal at his current club Crawley Town and we couldn't resist a reminder of that memorable win too! You can also see the highlights below from that 2-1 win in 2015.
