The Centre Court shop is now closed to walk in customers following the recent Tier 4 announcement.
Our mail order capability is still operating though and as Manager Mat explains, there is still a lot going on with the Retail Department:
"With Christmas Day drawing ever closer, the retail department’s focus is currently getting those last minute orders out of the door," said Mat. However, Royal Mail are struggling with volumes this year so we’re making sure we at least do our part by processing and packing within a few hours of online orders being received. Then it’s time to switch to preparing both for our ever-popular January sale and of course moving into our new home at Plough Lane.
"We will be looking to open the new outlet mid-January (depending on government guidelines) and I’ve already ordered a few new items that will go on sale as we open. Sales this year have been phenomenal, certainly breaking all records set since I came on board in 2017, and at a time when the whole country is looking after every penny once again our fans have stepped up and shown the love for our fantastic, fan-owned football club."
We wouldn’t have managed to open the shop at Centre Court or keep up with the huge online demand had it not been for the amazing help of our volunteers so I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s pitched in, including:
George Jones
Esther Beaumont
Shannon Breytenbach
Mark Lewis
Kate Lewis
Anthony Sirkett
Traci ‘Turnstile’ Sleet
Tara Philpott
Maria Butler
Sandy Cadiz-Smith
Sandy Waugh
Tim Elliott
I can’t wait to welcome everyone to our ‘megastore’ in a few weeks. In the meantime I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
