Matthew Couper is rewriting the play “A Fans Club” as part of the celebrations of our move back to Merton – and you can play a part in its production!
The play tells the tells the story of one tumultuous year in the life of Wimbledon fans from the announcement of the move to Buckinghamshire in 2001 to reforming as AFC Wimbledon in 2002.
A Fans' Club is scheduled is to be performed at the Colour House Theatre, Colliers Wood, in July this year. In the lead up to the performance, there will be a read-through of the play at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Saturday 21 March (starting at 6.30pm after the Tranmere game).
We are looking for up to 40 people to come along and give their feedback on the script before the play goes into full production. If you would like to come along please register by visiting this page.
