Paul Kalambayi was today back out on the training pitch, as he stepped up his recovery from a serious injury that has kept him out since 7 December.
After a week of specialist recuperation at St George’s Park, the National Football Centre in Burton, Paul returned to light training today and Glyn Hodges has earmarked an Under-23 match for him next week.
“It was nice to see Paul back out there today, he’s feeling good and had a big smile on his face," said Glyn. "I’m not sure what the timescale is with Paul. I think there’s an Under-23 game next week and he will be playing some part in that, but it’s good to see him on his way back.”
After damaging an AITFL, a ligament between your tibia (shin) and fibula (lower leg) bone, Paul had an air cast boot on, but he's made great progress now and is on schedule to return later this month. Paul's last first-team game for us two months ago in the 2-2 draw at Bolton.
