Ossama Ashley has today been handed an opportunity to gain first-team experience elsewhere after joining National League South side Billericay Town.
The 19-year-old midfielder made one first-team appearance for Wimbledon in 2017, before suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury, which kept him out for a year. However, he's now got a chance to further his development with the Essex club, who are managed by former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O'Hara.
Mark Robinson said: "Ash had a long time out injured, but he's physically in good condition. He just needs to get lots of competitive games under his belt in men's football. He has an opportunity to work on his decision-making and effect games in the way a box-to-box midfielder needs to do."
Ashley could make his debut on Saturday when Billericay host Tonbridge Angels and all at AFC Wimbledon wish him well in his loan spell.
