Glyn targets another defender as Ryan makes Rochdale return

Centre-back goes back up north after expiration of loan deal

6 January 2020

Ryan Delaney has returned to his parent club Rochdale after his loan deal at Wimbledon expired.

Glyn Hodges has therefore indicated that he is actively looking for a replacement centre-back after Ryan's departure and our manager also wants to bring in another forward after Michael Folivi returned to Watford.

All at AFC Wimbledon thank Ryan for his contribution in a Dons shirt and we wish him well in his career. The 23-year-old Irish defender posted the following message from his Twitter account, after his Rochdale return was confirmed: "Want to thank everyone involved with the club, including the coaches players & fans for making me feel welcome! All the best for the rest of the season."

Ryan made 16 appearances for Wimbledon after joining us in August, scoring one goal - a towering header in the 4-1 win at Southend.

It was certainly a goal worth watching again, so here it is below!
