Our Retail Manager Mat Haylock has today updated us about the delivery of in-demand face coverings ordered by supporters.
Mat said: ‘Firstly, thanks to everyone who purchased face coverings last week. A total of 500 were sold in just over six hours, so we immediately re-ordered another thousand and we are expecting these to arrive today. Secondly, thanks to everyone for their patience waiting for these to be delivered. The arrival of the masks coincided with the task of kitting out the Centre Court Shop from scratch, so everything else went on hold for quite a few days. The masks were packed and franked by shop volunteer Shannon Breytenbach yesterday and we’re aiming to get these in the post today.
“I’d like to also take this opportunity to thank Shannon, Tommy Woolgar, and Andrew Ramsden for their help in getting the shop ready, and to George Jones and Esther Beaumont for their help at the new shop since we opened. And lastly, apologies to anybody who has e-mailed the shop and not yet received a reply. It’s been extremely difficult to keep up to date with everything, so I’m slowly working my way through a bulging inbox and will reply in the next few days.”
