It has been a little over two weeks since we asked for help to make 500 face coverings to benefit our fans and the Dons Local Action Group.
We are delighted to report that we’ve had a great response to this and thanks to help from volunteers we are now in a position to put the first batch on sale. They will be available from 7.00 pm this evening by visiting our online shop.
The face coverings will be priced at £8 with £5 from each sale donated to the Dons Local Action Group, a fantastic project that continues to make a real difference in the community.
We’d like as many people as possible to be able to benefit, so purchases will be limited to two per customer. There are three different types of covering. We have some with flat elastic, some with cord elastic, and some with ties to ensure the perfect fit.
Retail Manager Mat Haylock said: "I’m so grateful to the volunteers who stepped forward to help with this. Each and every one of them have been awesome and when I’ve been dropping off and collecting we’ve ended up chatting for ages about all things Dons. We will be stocking similar coverings, produced professionally alongside our homemade versions, in the next week or two. It’s abundantly clear from all the communications I’ve received that these will sell out fast. As soon as there are more available we will let everyone know.”
