Our first-team players combined off the pitch to bring plenty of cheer for Dons supporter Joe Dowek on his 22nd birthday.
Joe is autistic and with the nation having been ordered to self-isolate due to Coronavirus, his sister Alice was concerned that his special day would be lacking a bit of birthday sparkle. She sent the following message yesterday to our social media account: “My brother Joe is autistic with moderate learning difficulties and he is 22 tomorrow! He is very social, but confused by the lack of interaction he’s getting at the moment. Would anyone like to brighten his birthday and send him a message please?”
Our players were quick to respond and Alice posted: “We’ve got nearly a full team of Dons now! Proper good spirit.”
