Wear blue and yellow on Thursday

Support National Autism Awareness Week

30 March 2020

AFC Wimbledon are supporting Autism Awareness Week and as part of this we’re asking you to show off your club colours!

At a time when the majority of us are at home, it would be great to make some noise on social media and spread the message about this important cause. There are around 700,000 people on the autism spectrum in the UK – that's more than 1 in 100, or roughly 40-50 people at every AFC Wimbledon home game. We’re supporting Autism Awareness Week and you can too, from the comfort of your own home. Get involved by visiting the National Autistic Society website.

It would be great if you could post your pictures in blue and yellow shirts, or other AFCW apparel, on Thurdsday, to show your support. Please post to our official Twitter page, tagging your message with #AutismAwarenessDay and #DonsWearBlueOnApril2.

AFC Wimbledon set-up it’s Disabled Supporters’ Association two years ago and we support the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme which provides help for people with hidden disabilities. In recent seasons, we have introduced sensory packs on match days.  These packs are available for all those who have sensory issues and have been made available to help make the matchday experience more comfortable and enjoyable. Though we have no matches coming up due to Coronavirus, you can find out more about these or our Disabled Supporters’ Association by contacting .
