Young right-back goes out on loan

Huseyin Biler joins Hendon

15 October 2020

Huseyin Biler has been given an opportunity to gain first-team experience elsewhere with a loan move to Hendon.

The 18-year-old attacking right-back, who signed his first professional contract with us during the summer, has joined the Southern League Premier Division South club for an initial month.

Huseyin, whose family are from Cyprus, made the first-team bench on several occasions last season, and Mark Robinson believes this loan move can help him stake a claim for more opportunities.

Our Lead Professional Phase Coach and Loans Manager said: “It’s taken a bit longer to get Huseyin out on loan because a move that we previously planned fell through due to the loan club’s finances. I sent footage of Huseyin in match action to a number of contacts and we had a lot of interest from clubs. Going to any of those clubs would have been a good move for him. I therefore got Huseyin involved in the process by asking him to speak with the various managers from each of the interested clubs. Taking everything into consideration, Huseyin felt that joining Hendon would be a very good loan move for him.

“I was more than happy with any choice that Huseyin decided to make as all the managers I spoke to were impressive. It’s now about what Huseyin can offer them. He’s a very talented young man and I’m sure that he will learn a lot from this loan move, while offering so many exciting attributes to Hendon.”

Huseyin could make his Hendon debut at Poole Town on Saturday.
