Back to school for Robbo and the players!

Video highlights the fantastic work in local schools by our Foundation

Recent results put the smiles back on the faces of everyone connected with our fantastic club - and the players have been spreading the feel-good factor to local schools!

Following yesterday's EFL Day of Action at Smallwood Primary School with Robbo and Haydon in attendance, six of our first-team squad were out in the community today after training.

Joe Pigott and Alex Woodyard joined up with children at the Foundation's holiday programme at Cranmer School with Will Nightingale and Ben Heneghan taking part in a Q&A with children at Smallwood.

Over at Aspire Community Leisure Centre, Southfields, Jack Rudoni and Nesta Guinness-Walker attended the Foundation's popular Player Development Centre courses, which have had a bumper turn-out during the Easter holidays.

During the school holidays 180 local school children have benefited from our Foundation’s ‘Dons Active Programme’ with free events held at Smallwood, Pollards Hill Youth Centre, Phipps Bridge Youth Centre, and Cranmere Primary. Another 160 children have taken part in the Foundation’s football courses at Aspire Centre in the past two weeks.

Take a look below at a video we've put together of yesterday's visit to Smallwood Primary - just around the corner from Plough Lane - as part of the EFL Day of Action. Despite Robbo passing on some of his extensive football knowledge, Haydon the Womble, as always, stole the limelight!
