Brothers in arms: Kalambayi and Osew

Discover more about the strong bond that exists between the Wimbledon duo

There’s plenty of history between defenders Paul Kalambayi and Paul Osew over the years, and the pair aim to make even more together in the colours of Wimbledon.

“I’ve known him since he was a little boy,” said Paul Kalambayi who comes across as the elder brother figure of the duo. The close bond extends off the pitch, having started out at Brentford together from a young age.

“When I joined Wimbledon, I was like – No way! This must be a dream that we’re back together!” said Paul Osew, after a separation from their days with the Bees saw them reunited by Mark Robinson.

Having both established themselves in our first team squad, while under the guidance of Robbo, they remain inseparable at a time when we’re building an exciting, new generation at Plough Lane. That included having a chat with them at the training ground on Thursday, during preparations for tomorrow’s League One game at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland.

Before they set off for the North East, the two Pauls chatted about those early days, what life is like now on their commute in together and even about their fashion influences! They also told us their thoughts on our impressive start to the new campaign and their emotions when they finally got to step out in front of our fans at the new stadium.
