Haydon the Womble will swap Wimbledon Common for a different kind of turf at Epsom when he takes on his fellow mascots this Monday.
It’s been a busy time for our Haydon as he’s organised the Mascot Memorial Race – to take place at 1.00 pm at Epsom Racecourse before Family Fun Day – and he celebrated his 15th birthday yesterday!
After inviting mascots from around the country to take part as well as his rivals from QPR and EFL new boys Sutton United, Haydon wants your support to cheer him onto victory!
It’s all for a great cause with the race in memory of Geoff and Jenny Smith and Denys Hutson, who between them organised mascot races around the country, mainly raising money and awareness for The Children's Trust Tadworth.
Haydon and his mascot pals will be collecting money for The Children's Trust Tadworth throughout the Family Fun Day at Epsom, so bring your spare change! Under-18s go free for the day of racing at Epsom with entertainment for children including pony rides and face painting. Make sure you get there early to show your support for Haydon!
