Loan watch: Corie's double takes him to seven

Wimbledon striker back among the goals in Hampshire derby

Striker Corie Andrews ended a near three-month drought with two goals and a man of the match award for Aldershot Town at the weekend.

He struck twice in the second half, in the 63rd and 86th minutes, eventually getting the better of former Dons keeper Joe McDonnell, as Aldershot went five unbeaten following a 3-0 Hampshire derby victory at Eastleigh in the National League. That took Corie’s total for the season to seven goals, having made a bright start to his time with the Shots.

Aaron Cosgrave played the full game for Dover Athletic in their basement battle at King’s Lynn Town. However, the Kent club were edged out 2-1 and Aaron was unable to add to his tally of four in this campaign.

Defender Jack Currie came up against another former Wimbledon keeper in Will Mannion. Having made a good start to the game with Eastbourne Borough, the Sussex side suffered late heartbreak as visitors Havant and Waterlooville came from behind to win 2-1 right at the end in National League South.

Striker David Fisher continued with his return from a Grade 2 hamstring strain. He came on for the last thirteen minutes of Hampton and Richmond’s 3-0 defeat at St Albans City, who bounced back from their heavy defeat to Boreham Wood - our next opponents in the FA Cup in January.

Winger Dylan Adjei-Hersey notched the sixth goal of his stay with Merstham. It was an 86th minute consolation though, as the Moatsiders were beaten 3-1 at Carshalton Athletic in the Isthmian Premier.

Defender Isaac Ogundere was involved in a seven-goal thriller with Leatherhead. They secured an important 4-3 victory away to Potters Bar Town, to stay in touch with other clubs at the bottom. Elliott Bolton featured in a 5-1 defeat with mid-table Corinthian-Casuals at fourth place Cheshunt. Elliott played for 76 minutes before being substituted.
