Luke Jenkins will gain valuable first-team experience elsewhere after he joined Tonbridge Angels on loan.
The 19-year-old defender, who has twice played for our first-team this season in the Papa John's Trophy, has joined the National League South club for an initial month.
It offers a fantastic opportunity for Luke to play men's football on a regular basis for the first time after progressing through our academy ranks.
Our Loans Manager Michael Hamilton said: "To say Luke is excited by this opportunity is an understatement. He started the season battling back from long-term injury, so he has had to show patience and resilience, whilst working his way back to fitness.
"Matt Flynn and Martin Davidson deserve massive credit for the work they’ve done in getting Luke back ahead of schedule and fingers crossed he can now concentrate on getting a run of games to kick start his season."
Angels manager Steve McKimm is likely to put Luke straight into his squad for the FA Trophy match at home to Torquay United on Saturday.
All at AFC Wimbledon wish Luke every success with the Kent club.
