We can now proudly claim to have our very own World Champion with Dons supporter Lerrone getting the better of previously undefeated Ecuadorian Carlos Gongora in Manchester. And it came in dramatic fashion too as the 29-year-old earned a split decision victory from the judges!
Following his big victory, Lerrone hit the right note by treating us to a victory song once again. After singing 'Hot Cross Buns' after his last win, this time it was 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas'. Visit the Matchroom Boxing Twitter page to hear Lerrone in festive mood.
Lerrone previously trained at Earlsfield ABC, just around the corner from our home, and he visited us earlier this season.
