Robbo to check on Ollie's fitness ahead of Accrington

Mark Robinson said he's hopeful that Ollie Palmer will be available for the trip to Accrington Stanley.

Our in-form striker was sent for a precautionary scan earlier today, and Robbo is awaiting the results before making a decision on his potential involvement at the Wham Stadium.

“We had to send Ollie off for a scan this morning," said Robbo. "It’s more precautionary than anything with so many games coming up. He’s got a slight bit of pain in his left quad, but it’s minor. Tim (Maynard, Physio) is pretty confident that it won’t be anything, but we’ve got a really busy schedule coming up, so we are just awaiting the results of the scan.

“We’re hoping Ollie will be okay (for Tuesday night) as Tim tested him before he went off for the scan. Tim seems fairly confident that it’s not a tear, but we have to be careful because we don’t want to make it worse.”

Robbo celebrated his birthday by making the trip up to Accrington! Many happy returns to our Head Coach and we hope it brings the belated present of three points up in Lancashire tomorrow. Click on the link below to listen to Rob Cornell's full interview with Robbo.
