What a year to be a Don!

A review of 2021

31 December 2021

It's the year we will always remember for our Wimbledon homecoming.

In 2021 we hosted our first league game in Wimbledon with fans for over three decades - and what an occasion it was. The 3-3 thriller versus Bolton on 14 August was a fitting tribute on the pitch to all of the hard work put in by so many people to get us back home.

It was certainly an eventful 12 months and we've put together a review of the year, containing plenty of goals from the swasbuckling start to Robbo's reign. After gaining the points to stay in League One for another season with a game to spare, our squad kept the entertainment value high thoughout the year, so roll on 2022!

In total, we won 19 matches in all competitions during 2021, so let's hope we can surpass that mark by this time next year.
