You’re looking good Broncos!

First Broncos game at our home will take place at the end of January

It might be an unfamiliar sport but there’ll be no mistaking the London Broncos when they move into our new home.

And there’s no mistaking a very famous face in the photo above!

In honour of becoming our new tenants at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, the rugby league club have adopted our striking yellow and blue colours for their first season with us.

Usually the Broncos play in black and white, but chief executive Jason Loubser explained: “We wanted to show how much this move means to us and how much we respect and admire the AFC Wimbledon story.

“Playing in your colours is our way of saying how honoured we feel to be playing in a stadium the fans helped build.

“We want Dons supporters to see us as a partner club and not just a team that simply plays 13 games in their new stadium.

“We can see how much the football club has done to build incredible community links in the area already and we want to do the same and become a proud part of the Wimbledon fabric.”

The picture shows rugby league legend Martin Offiah MBE (left), who played for the Broncos, Wigan and Widnes, as well as Great Britain, during a glittering career. Alongside him is the club’s halfback, Rian Horsman.

The Broncos' first game at The Cherry Red Records Stadium will be in the New Year on January 30 against Widnes.
