All at AFC Wimbledon wish Dickie Guy a very happy 72nd birthday.
Our Club President's goalkeeping feats are still rightly revered by everyone connected with Wimbledon and Monday marked 46 years since Dickie helped the Dons to pull off one of the greatest FA Cup shocks - the 1-0 win at Burnley. Dickie has regularly attended Wimbledon matches, home and away, ever since, and he is a great ambassador for the club (the picture above shows Dickie at Plough Lane before the new stadium opened).
We are privileged to have Dickie as our Club President and an interview that Dickie did on Sky Sports two years ago, alongside Ivor Heller, provided an entertaining look at his life and career. Jeff Stelling, Phil Thompson, and Charlie Nicholas were full of praise for Dickie and it's well worth seven minutes of your time!
