AFC Wimbledon’s home game against Wigan will not take place on Wednesday 6 January with a decision taken to postpone it.
An EFL statement said that Wigan informed the league that they would be unable to fulfil their next two fixtures following several positive COVID-19 tests and the requirements for players and staff to self-isolate, as per EFL and government guidance.
The circumstances surrounding the postponements will now be subject of an investigation, in accordance with EFL regulations.
We will announce a rearranged date for the Wigan game in due course.
