Our supporters will on Saturday get the first chance to watch Henry Lawrence playing for the Dons.
Mark Robinson confirmed that the loan signing from Chelsea will feature in Saturday’s test event versus Scunthorpe United (3.00 pm kick-off).
“Henry will be starting the game,” said Robbo. “The lads have said he is on fire, and he looked sharp again today, so he will definitely be involved.”
Having been at AFC Wimbledon since 2004, our Head Coach can’t wait to see the West Stand full of Dons supporters on Saturday.
“It is going to be exciting," said Robbo. "I hope it goes well because all the fans will be behind me! It will be great to have 4,000 in there. I felt there were a lot of positive elements from the performance on Tuesday, and hopefully there will be even more on Saturday.
“To get a fantastic turnout at the game will be absolutely brilliant, and we need it. It’s so important to build that attachment between the players and the fans. That only happens if the fans see something to get attached about, so we have to put in performances – win, lose, or draw – that bring the fans closer to the players. Not just on the pitch, but in the way we behave off the pitch as well. The quicker we build that bond the better.”
