Pre-season moved up a gear for Mark Robinson's squad this week as they got on their bikes for a mixture of hard work and team bonding, in the picturesque surroundings of Richmond Park.
Over the years we've been used to seeing our Under 18s squad put through their paces in the annual "Richmond Run". Sports Scientist Chris McConnell and Physio Tim Maynard have adapted Robbo's model from his Academy days in order to make the first team "robust and resilient" this pre-season, with five mornings of cycling instead of just the one for a run!
It was all made possible with the help of the Blue and Yellow Club and Park Cycle, who are based at Roehampton Gate. All five of our new recruits so far this summer took part - goalkeeper Zaki Oualah, defender Darius Charles, midfielders Luke McCormick and George Marsh and striker Aaron Cosgrave.
You can get a special look at how our pre-season preparations are coming along in a feature length video below - including new interviews with Head Coach Mark Robinson, first team coaches Rob Tuvey and James Simmonds, Luke McCormick and Chris McConnell.
Watch all the action and a unique, new song from Goalkeeping Coach Ashley Bayes, who celebrated England reaching the European Championship final on Sunday!
