2021/22 Fixtures Announced

24 June 2021

The fixtures are here – and there’s NEVER been a more critical moment to sort your season tickets because it’s going to be an historic start to the new campaign ahead.

Our first home League game will be against Bolton Wanderers on August 14 and it promises to be MASSIVE for lots of different reasons.

First, it will almost certainly be our first proper Plough Lane homecoming in front of a full house at our new stadium.

Secondly, it will also be our final official Test event, which means we will then be free to have full  capacities at all our home games. So make sure you have all your seat reservations sorted and paid for or else you will lose out!

There are a couple of provisos.  If our Carabao Cup game on Wednesday, August 11, is a home fixture, then that will become our final Test event. Again, that can be in front of a full house.

And we are all ultimately at the mercy of the government’s guidelines, which we are still waiting to hear.

Whatever the case, the message is loud and clear. It’s going to be a phenomenally exciting start to the season, the opening fixtures are going to be historic in every sense of the word and this will be your only chance to make sure you’re there to witness it all.

So don’t delay – get those tickets sorted!

It promises to be a magnificent season in its own right with eight former Premier League clubs in League One (including us!).

Our opener is away at Doncaster Rovers on August 7 – then come the big guns. We have Sunderland August 21 at the Stadium of Light then bring them back to Plough Lane on February 12.

And newly-relegated Sheffield Wednesday will be heading our way on October 16.

Closer to home we have Charlton Athletic on February 5 and Wycombe Wanderers on December 11. Not forgetting Oxford United on December 29 and Portsmouth on November 20.

It promises to be a heart-thumping season but most of all it will go down in our history as the season when we finally got to turn our new ground into our new home. Just make sure you’re there.
