Robbo targets more than just survival next season

Post-match reaction from our Head Coach and Will

1 May 2021

Mark Robinson said that mere survival in this league should not be what AFC Wimbledon is all about after the defeat against Portsmouth today.

Speaking in his post-match interview after the 3-1 loss at Plough Lane, our Head Coach is determined to play his part in moving us forward next season - and ensuring that there's not another scrap to stay up.

"I hate that word 'survived'. I don't want it associated with this football club anymore, certainly celebrating survival. There are lots of things we can be pleased about for the 20 games that we've been together, but today's performance wasn't one of them. I am massively pleased for the fans and the club that we've stayed in League One, but in terms of how we went about our business today it was nowhere near good enough."
