Paul Kalambayi made a positive return to the side yesterday – and he believes that there’s an exciting future ahead with Mark Robinson in charge.
Speaking after the 0-0 draw at Lincoln, the 21-year-old defender said: “The boys have bought into Robbo’s ideas. The system is working and we now want to push on for something special. Robbo is a manager that wants to take us somewhere and I’ve always believed that, even in the youth teams. It’s a pleasure to play under him and I’ll give everything for Robbo.
“There has been a change and you’ve seen that with the amount of goals we’ve scored. We’re becoming a solid team, we’re hard to beat. Lincoln are in the play-offs, the game could’ve gone either way but I think we edged it. Things are changing and the players believe in it. The players believe in the manager so my message to the fans is ‘next season is going to be exciting’.”
Yesterday’s match was just the second time that Paul had completed 90 minutes since January after an injury-hit second half to the season. Click on the link below to watch Paul’s interview after Lincoln.
