Midfielder Elliott Bolton played a key role for Corinthian-Casuals last night, as they won at Bowers & Pitsea.
The Essex club have been in the spotlight recently, having seen off National League Aldershot Town in the FA Cup and they only went out 1-0 at League One Lincoln City on Saturday, following a goal by former Dons midfielder Max Sanders.
Elliott (pictured) put visitors Corinthian-Casuals in front in the 13th minute, with a deflected effort from the edge of the box in the Isthmian Premier fixture. Nearly twenty minutes later, he then set up former AFC Wimbledon Academy striker Bobby Mills who put the Tolworth-based side two-up.
Elliott received a yellow card in the 53rd minute and came off thirteen minutes before the end, but the damage had been done by the Dons youngster. Fellow midfielder Alfie Bendle came on towards the end, as the visitors saw it out and went on to clinch all three points after a 2-1 victory.
Having suffered defeat at the weekend, winger Dylan Adjei-Hersey bounced back with Merstham. The Moatsiders put Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Hornchurch behind them, with a 2-0 victory at home to Danny Kedwell’s Cray Wanderers. Defender Isaac Ogundere played the full 90 minutes of Leatherhead’s 2-1 defeat to Cheshunt at Fetcham Grove in the same division.
Elsewhere, it wasn’t a great night for striker Corie Andrews. He picked up a yellow card in the 19th minute and was on the receiving end of a 5-0 defeat, at home to Wrexham in the National League with Aldershot.
