Mark Robinson revealed that the players wore black armbands today to show their support for Joe Pigott.
After Robbo learned earlier today that Joe’s father had died, the squad sent our former striker a video message, before wearing black armbands, and Jack Rudoni unveiled a shirt with 39 on it – the number Joe wore for us – after his late equaliser today.
“We found out this morning that Joe Pigott had lost his Dad, and Joe is still very much a part of our family here," said Robbo. "We are still in touch with Joe, and we did a video message for him.
“Joe’s Dad used to come down and watch us train, he would bring his chair down. I used to have a chat with him afterwards about the football and Joe appreciated it. We just wanted to let Joe know that we are there for him when he needs us.”
