AFC Wimbledon Academy Under-18s face a home tie against Woking in the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup.

The tie will be played on or before November 6. The exact date and time are to be confirmed.

Our gallant run in last season’s competition came to an end in the fourth round at the end of March, when we were beaten 3-0 after extra time at home to Tottenham Hotspur, having beaten Burnley in the previous round.

James Oliver-Pearce’s side currently sit second in the Youth Alliance South East table, two points behind leaders Cambridge United with two games in hand. The young Dons came back to win 3-2 away to Cheltenham Town in midweek, to book a place in the Southern Area semi-finals of the Youth Alliance Cup.

The tie will evoke memories for our Under-18s Head Coach who, along with first team striker Ollie Palmer, were with Woking's Academy as youngsters.

Our photo shows the young Dons after they beat Burnley 1-0 last season, with a goal from Paris Lock.
