It is with considerable regret that we have to deliver more deeply frustrating news about the arrival of our Season Ticket cards.
Earlier this week we promised the cards would be finally arriving on doorsteps today or tomorrow. This was the assurance we were given by HID, our card provider.
We have now been informed they cannot fulfil this pledge and, once again, we will have to launch an emergency contigency operation to ensure all fans have tickets for Saturday's game against Oxford. We have therefore demanded that all season ticket cards are dispatched to Plough Lane immediately. They should be with us this evening.
Once they have arrived, we will then set up a collection point within the club shop - so fans can pick up their cards in person. We do not want to risk posting them with the Oxford game nearly upon us. We will also run collection desks on the day of the game itself for those fans unable to get to Plough Lane before then. Keep a look out for when these will be open. Please note that it will be possible for fans to pick up cards on behalf of friends and family.
Naturally, we apologise sincerely for the inconvenience this will inevitably cause. To say we share your frustration is no understatement and all we can do is ask for your patience and understanding once again.
Plough Lane is everything we could have ever imagined and we mustn't lose sight of that achievement. Inevitably, there were going to be unexpected teething problems but, in this instance, they're made even more frustrating because they are utterly beyond our control.
On a brighter note, there will be some excellent additions to your Plough Lane experience on Saturday - many of which you, the fans, have requested. The Kidszone will be up and running for the first time, and our popular Man-Of-The-Match Award will be staged in the fans-zone area after the game.
Shelving has also been installed on the first-floor concourse, which fans can use to place their drinks. Regular soft drinks will also be available - and not just the low-sugar alternatives. We will also be serving non-alcoholic lagers for the first time and introducing re-usable plastic cups.
The birth of a new stadium is an ever-evolving process. Hopefully, all these measures show we value your feedback and act on what you're telling us as much as possible.
We will also be making more seats available for the Oxford game, so please keep an eye on the official website for more details in due course.
