Defender signs new deal

Academy product commits to the Dons

20 August 2022

We are pleased to announce that Paul Osew has signed a new one-year contract with AFC Wimbledon.

The defender started out at youth level with Chelsea Kicks, Evolution Sports & Health Academy and Brentford before joining Raynes Park Vale, for whom he would go on to enjoy his first taste of senior football.

Paul was later snapped up by Wimbledon’s Academy and went on to sign his first professional contract with the Club in April 2019 after impressing at youth level. Wally Downes handed the defender his debut and he has been a regular at first-team level ever since, playing in various positions across the backline and in midfield.

To date he has made 69 appearances, scoring three goals against Rochdale, Arsenal Under-21s, and Charlton Athletic, along the way.

Now Paul will be looking to kick on for the Dons again as he slowly makes his way back to full fitness after recovering from an injury that he sustained earlier in the summer.
