Our very own Haydon the Womble takes on his furry friends in a Bank Holiday challenge with a difference on Monday – and you can support his glory bid.
Watch Haydon make the dash down Epsom’s famous home straight as he tries to topple Chorley FC’s Victor the Magpie, who will be aiming to retain his crown!
Also in opposition will be H'angus the Monkey, Hartlepool’s infamous mascot, who is making the longest trip!
The Mascot Memorial Race – staged before the afternoon racing at Epsom – is all for a great cause with funds raised donated to the Children’s Trust, Tadworth, a leading charity to support children with brain injuries.
If you’re planning to go racing, you can support this fantastic charity as mascots will be walking around with collection buckets all afternoon.
There’s also an option to sponsor Haydon the Womble, or enter a raffle for a great selection of prizes that includes tickets for the I360 British Airways viewing Tower in Brighton, or a Family Ticket to the Tower Bridge experience.

The mascot event will be held in memory of Geoff and Jenny Smith & Denys Hutson as they organised similar mascot events all around the country for charity.
