Johnnie Jackson heralded another good performance from his side as the Dons came away with a 0-0 draw against fellow play-off chasers Swindon Town.
In truth it was a game of very few clear cut chances, with Josh Davison carving out our best opportunity on a day when our defence dealt with everything that was thrown at us.
Our latest clean sheet means we’ve now failed to concede in five successive League Two games – a quality that will now doubt stand us in good stead moving forwards.

“We look like a really solid outfit, we’re hard to beat and we’re really hard to score against,” said Johnnie. “It’s a tough place to come, Swindon are a good team and they pose a lot of threats. We nullified them and restricted them to only a handful of chances.
“We’d like to have got a goal ourselves at the other end, I’d say that the first-half was our opportunity to do that. We had some really good moments when we broke on them but overall we didn’t do quite enough. All in all it’s a good point and a clean sheet, so we end the day pleased.”
The other main plus point for Wimbledon was the return of Nathan Young-Coombes to our matchday squad, with the striker making the bench after recovering from an injury that has kept him sidelined since mid-September.
Although he didn’t feature in yesterday’s draw, the gaffer was keen to stress that there will be opportunities in the coming weeks for the Brentford loanee and others.
“He hasn’t had a bundle of training. If we were behind and chasing a goal, perhaps I would’ve turned to him. The games are coming thick and fast in December with Plymouth on Tuesday, so there will be opportunities for everyone to get games.”
