NYC and the training ground buzz

Highlights from Thursday’s session

2 December 2022

Our squad’s team spirit was on full show yesterday – with a certain returnee being a welcome addition to the party!

Nathan Young-Coombes was back on the grass for the first time since picking up a knee injury in September, as he continues to close in on a return to action alongside the likes of Lee Brown, Josh Hallard, Paul Osew and Will Nightingale.

Speaking after training, the Brentford loanee was more than happy to provide us with an update on his fitness:

You can watch the full interview with our attacking trio below.

“I’m back with a fresh trim! My knee has healed, my quad has healed and next Saturday (away to Swindon Town) is what I’m aiming for. I want to get back with the boys.

“I’ve been watching them in action from the stands – there’s been some phenomenal play from the team over the past few months.”

Ethan Chislett and Josh Davison also joined our forward for the interview, with the latter expressing his delight at being able to link-up with his strike partner again:

“Me and NYC had a good combination going,” said Josh. “Unfortunately the injury came about but it’s great to see him now and I’m looking forward to getting it going again in training and in the games to come.”

In addition to our catch-up with the boys, we also have the best bits from Thursday’s training session.
