A Chelsea versus City final at our Wimbledon home!

Details for big match at the Cherry Red Records Stadium

4 February 2022

Our showpiece final on Saturday 5 March is shaping up to be an absolute cracker!

A 3-0 victory for Man City against Spurs last night means that it's a Chelsea versus City final in the FA Women's Continental Cup.

A national audience will focus on the Cherry Red Records Stadium with the match to be televised on BBC, but there's no substitute for being there!

Tickets are available from our online ticket shop (just £10 for adults, £2.50 kids), but please note that the 'home' and 'away' ends haven't been allocated yet.

Chelsea Women pipped Man City to the Super League title last season, so the final is sure to be a competitive affair. Emma Hayes' Chelsea side are also the reigning Continental Cup holders after winning the final at Nottingham Forest last season.

A bit about the Conti Cup

  • The FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup is in its eleventh season, having been founded in 2011 when the Barclays FA Women’s Super League was formed.
  • The first Final was contested between Arsenal and Birmingham City at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium - the Gunners running out 4-1 winners.
  • Arsenal boast the most victories in the competition’s history with five victories to their name. Hot on their heels are Manchester City with three wins, and Chelsea with two.
  • Last season’s final was played behind closed doors at Watford’s Vicarage Road - Chelsea storming to victory with a 6-0 win against Bristol City, who were competing in their first League Cup Final.

Let's set a new record!

A record crowd for the Conti Cup Final was set last season with the City Ground hosting 6,743 spectators. Therefore if we sell-out, or close to it, we can set a new record!
