Tough tackling midfielder Kwaku Frimpong got off the mark for Carshalton Athletic on Saturday in a nine-goal thriller.

Frimpong (pictured with Assistant Head Coach Rob Tuvey) continued to impress in his stay with the Isthmian League club, but his new side were edged out 5-4 at Cray Wanderers.

Defender Huseyin Biler earned Merstham’s man-of-the-match accolade, despite being sent off in the 90th minute of their 1-0 victory at nine-man Bowers & Pitsea. Winger Dylan Adjei-Hersey also shared in the joy of three points and a clean sheet for the visitors.

Defender Isaac Ogundere came on at the end to help see Leatherhead over the line, the visitors earning a vital 3-2 victory at Haringey Borough. Midfielder Isaac Olaniyan came off in the 38th minute of Chipstead’s goalless draw with Tooting and Mitcham United in the South Central Division.

Striker Corie Andrews also notched his first goal for Colchester United in League Two at the weekend. He helped secure a 3-0 victory at Salford City. That took him to double figures this season - adding to the nine goals he’d already scored in his spell with Aldershot Town.

Defender Luke Jenkins was substituted at half-time by Tonbridge Angels, in a 1-1 draw with Hemel Hempstead Town in National League South. He had received treatment just before the break.

Zach Robinson played 90 minutes for Hampton & Richmond, before being substituted in their 2-2 draw at Dartford. That was also the point in the game when fellow striker David Fisher came off the bench for the visitors.

Defender Jack Currie was part of an Eastbourne Borough side that suffered their first defeat of the year, beaten 2-1 away at Bath City.

There was better luck for defender Josh Hallard who, with Metropolitan Police, returned from a trip to Wales with maximum points after a 3-2 victory at Merthyr Town in Southern League South.

Elliott Bolton featured for Corinthian-Casuals in a 3-1 defeat at Margate.
