With the start of the new League Two season drawing closer, we joined the squad on the training pitch for our latest preparations.
Midfielder Luke McCormick, who missed our last friendly match of pre-season against Oxford United on Saturday with a knock, was able to take part in the session in New Malden under the watchful eyes of manager Johnnie Jackson.
There was also plenty of noise coming from the group, with experienced defenders Alex Pearce and Lee Brown maintaining a lively atmosphere throughout the workout, just days away from our first game at home to Gillingham on Saturday afternoon.
There could be further competition for places up front soon. Strikers Aaron Cosgrave (ankle) and David Fisher (hamstring) stepped up their returns with some intensive work set out by Head of Sports Science Chris McConnell. They were also joined by Quaine Bartley.
