Long-serving Robin Bedford has been kitting out Johnnie Jackson’s squad with our new Hummel training range – and there’s been a big thumbs up from the players!
Now entering his 17th season as our Kitman, it’s a particularly busy time in the calendar for ‘Rocket’ as he efficiently arranges the right kit for each player, including new training shirts, shorts, and socks, but also jumpers and rain jackets for when the weather takes a turn.
The players are certainly happy with their fresh look, as we found out from midfielder Ethan Chislett and winger Dylan Adjei-Hersey.
“I’m really enjoying wearing it so far,” said Ethan. “I’ve good experiences with Hummel in the past, because as a youngster I wore it for a few years elsewhere. For the Club, it’s also a massive throwback to the year after Wimbledon won the FA Cup, so it’s good vibes all around.”
“The boys are loving the new training kit,” said Dylan. “It’s back to Hummel for the Dons and hopefully it will be a good sign for the coming season.”
You can get your hands on our new Hummel training kits from Saturday 2 July. From 10 am, you’ll be able to buy in person from our club shop or online, and select from a wide range of tees, polos, shorts and casualwear.
There’s also an interesting story behind the lettering and numbering Rocket used on the kit, which he reveals in our behind-the-scenes video.
