Dons duo continue to make an impression

Adjei-Hersey and Ogundere benefitting from loan experiences

7 March 2022

Two members of our FA Youth Cup side from last season continued to make steps towards our first team at the weekend.

Dylan Adjei-Hersey and Isaac Ogundere are pictured with the rest of our Under 18s side that beat Burnley 1-0 at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. They're both benefitting from their time out on loan with Isthmian League clubs.

Adjei-Hersey was Merstham’s man-of-the-match on Saturday, as they came back to beat Leatherhead. The flying winger, along with defender Huseyin Biler, played the full game as the Moatsiders went on to win 2-1 having been a goal down.

Defender Ogundere marked the extension of his loan deal until the end of the season, by helping Potters Bar Town keep another clean sheet. The Hertfordshire club, under the guidance of former AFC Wimbledon favourite Sammy Moore, extended an unbeaten run to five games after their goalless draw with Wingate & Finchley.

Having extended his deal with Hampton & Richmond until the end of the season, striker Zach Robinson levelled the scores in the 33rd minute as they went on to beat Dulwich Hamlet 2-1. Forward David Fisher came on for the last twenty-one minutes of the National League South game at the Beveree Stadium.

Goalkeeper Zaki Oualah helped lowly Billericay Town to another vital point, as they drew 2-2 with Welling United. Defender Jack Currie was again influential for Eastbourne Borough, as they beat St Albans City 1-0.
