Paul shows the way to Plough Lane’s class of 2022

Join us at our Open Day for Education Hub

Paul Osew has urged young people to grasp an exciting opportunity at Plough Lane by signing up for our Education Hub.

Our left-back's big breakthrough came when he was spotted playing at an AFC Wimbledon Foundation course that combined study with football at Southfields Academy. Now as an ambassador for our Education Hub, Paul is recommending studying at our stadium.

An open day is scheduled to take place on Thursday (4.30 pm-6.30 pm) with prospective students welcome to come along.

“When I was studying at Southfields Academy I was just in the classroom, but the Education Hub at Plough Lane will be inspiring with it being at the stadium. It will make you work harder.

“Everyone wants to be a footballer, but with your education it’s most important that you get that under your belt first. You never know in football – it can be a short career. I’m going to look into getting another educational qualification. There are players in the Premier League still doing university courses.

“An open day is always great for students to come along and experience new things. If you like what’s on offer, you can ask further questions, and look into doing a course.”

The open day for our Education Hub takes place from 4.30 pm until 6.30 pm, and there's no need to register, so simply turn up at our stadium reception. Courses are aimed at 16-18 year olds and you can take a look at our Education Brochure for more information.
