Jack Rudoni said he was ‘incredibly proud’ to end a very difficult season as a triple winner at our end of season awards.

Rudi earned the Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year accolades, as well as the Junior Dons award – all presented at our final game of the season on Saturday.

“It goes without saying that this season has been incredibly difficult for us all and I’m devastated that this has happened to a club that means so much to me. Thank you all Wombles for your amazing support.

“I’m incredibly proud to win both the Young Player of the Year and the Player of the Year in the same season. Thanks to all the junior Dons too for voting for me as their Player of the Year.”

Following a fantastic season for our women’s first-team, Ashlee Hincks won our Club Player of the Year award – earning 59.5 per cent of our online vote. Ashlee scored 40 goals in her first season with the Dons, helping our women to finish third in the table and to a national final.

“I am honoured to win this award,” said Ashlee. “I’ve absolutely loved my first season with AFC Wimbledon and I’m already looking forward to repeating it again next year. This season has been incredible as my first full campaign back since my ACL injury has given me more than I could have imagined.

“What we achieved as a group - going on an unbeaten run from 25th August - shows how well we’ve played. We’ve laid the foundations now for us to really push on for next season and aim for promotion.”

Captain Alex Woodyard secured two club awards after his consistent displays at the heart of our midfield.
