Ethan Sutcliffe has continued to impress while on loan with Salisbury this season, but the young defender suffered a blow at the weekend.

The centre-back caught the eye of Dons fans in recent FA Youth Cup games against Burnley and Tottenham last year. He’s been a regular starter for Steve Claridge’s Southern Premier South side, but had to come off after just 32 minutes of the FA Trophy defeat at Truro City on Saturday.

Ethan, who signed his first pro deal with the Dons in the summer and also attends first team training at our New Malden base during the week, is thought to have sustained an ankle injury. The former Crystal Palace youngster has helped Salisbury to currently ninth place in the league table.

Fellow defender Ben Mason followed up a landmark first senior goal for Basingstoke Town in midweek, by helping the Hampshire club to their fourth successive clean sheet in the league at the weekend.

Ben scored the third goal in a 5-0 victory for Basingstoke, as they sailed past the Royal Navy in the second round of the Hampshire Senior Cup on Tuesday evening. He then helped his side to another shut out in the 3-0 win over Chipstead in the Isthmian South Central on Saturday. Basingstoke sit fourth in the table, a point behind Chertsey Town who recently appointed former AFC Wimbledon boss Dave Anderson as their manager again.

Striker Zach Robinson came on for the last twelve minutes of Dundee’s one-all draw at Arbroath in the Scottish Championship on Saturday. That was the forward’s twelfth appearance for the Dee this season, who are fifth in the table.

Young goalkeeper Max Foulkes saved a penalty in the tenth minute, as Molesey held fifth place Berks County to a two-all draw at Walton Road in the Combined Counties League, Division One.

Attacking midfielder Marcel Campbell was an unused substitute for South Park (Reigate) who beat Sutton Common Rovers 1-0 in the Isthmian South Central, despite being reduced to ten men for the majority of the game with the early sending off of former AFC Wimbledon player Seth Owens.

Having made two substitute appearances for National League South side Dartford, midfielder Kwaku Frimpong was an unused substitute for our defeat at Walsall at the weekend.
