We are pleased to announce that Chris Gunter has been called up by the Welsh national team ahead of his country’s final round of UEFA Nations League fixtures.
A record cap holder for the Dragons, the 33-year-old could be set to feature against both Belgium and Poland in what is a highly anticipated double header for the squad later this month.
The game against the latter will be the country’s final fixture before they head to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup – a tournament that Chris understandably has a great desire to be involved in this season.
Wales face Belgium in Brussels on Thursday 22 September and Poland on the 25 September at the Cardiff City Stadium as Rob Page’s team aim to finish their preparations for the winter tournament on a high.
