Head Physiotherapist Deanne Goring brings us up to speed with all the injury news from the treatment room.
We are putting plans in place for next season in order to ensure the injuries we have seen in the last four months don’t reoccur within the squad. I regularly audit the current injuries and try to understand why they happen. We are always looking at ways in which these can be prevented.
Here’s the latest news on players who are working towards their return to action:
Huseyin Biler
After a minor setback from his original injury we done further rehab with Hus and he progressed well. We are pleased to say Hus is nearing a return to the squad.
Ethan Chislett
Ethan suffered a hamstring injury against Harrogate. We have been monitoring this daily and we hope to have him back soon.
Josh Davison
Josh has progressed his rehab into the final stages and if it all goes well, we hope to see him before the end of the season.
Paul Kalambayi
PK’s surgery went well and we are currently in the early stages of rehab. We are taking each day as it comes and he is progressing well. PK’s return date is under constant review as we monitor his progress.
Armani Little
Unfortunately Armani picked up a hamstring injury during the Stevenage game. A scan has shown he will be out for the rest of the season. We are in communication with his parent club regarding his injury.
Alex Pearce
Alex suffered an injury in the final stages of the game away at Newport. We have been managing his injury and he is progressing really well. He is another one that we are hopeful of seeing before the end of the season.
Harry Pell
Harry suffered a calf strain which saw him out for a prolonged period of time. He is closing in on a return and we are hopeful of him getting some minutes before the end of the season.
Aaron Pierre
Aaron came off at half-time against Salford. We are currently monitoring him daily and his availability is subject to how his symptoms present.
